Travel plan
I am of the opinion that too much planning spoils a vacation. So, although I have an idea of what all I want to do once I reach the destination, the exact planning I keep for once I get there.

Travel style
I am a comfort traveller but I also like to experience a place the way it’s meant to be experienced. Try local cuisine, local shopping, walk around a lot and yet do luxurious stuff. In that sense I probably like a mix of luxe and easy travelling.
Foodie moment as a traveller
A perfect foodie moment is when I discover something exciting to eat and it has the flavours I crave for. In Greece I discovered that the original Greek yogurt was served as a dish. This time in Miami I tried Peruvian food, which had a lot of fish and other seafood with flavours that tickled my taste buds and, of course, the cakes from Magnolia in New York!

Must-pack items...
My toiletries and skincare items are foremost, especially organic oils and my day cream. So are a pair of sneakers/walking shoes, flats and at least one pair of heels (for a dressy evening). A small pouch of make-up with essentials like lip tint, mascara and kohl eye pencil and, most importantly, a swimsuit.

Travel lessons
It’s important to be aware of one’s surroundings for personal safety. On one of my earliest visits to New York, my entire bag with my passport, wallet, and phone was stolen, while I was walking around. I was dazed for days after the incident trying to figure when and how it happened. Thankfully I was travelling for a fashion show with a bunch of people who were very supportive.

Travel gear (style tips)
Comfortable trackpants and a T-shirt has always been my favourite but so are cotton pants paired with an easy side slit cotton dress or a plain T-shirt. A jacket and a stole are a must-carry for me, no matter what my travel attire is.

Travel pet peeves
Biggest annoyance is when my food doesn’t turn out right when on a flight or when I have ordered wrong because I am new to that country. The other is when I either misplace items.

Best family/solo travel
My beach getaways with my husband have always been great. But there was this one solo holiday I took in 2006, where I covered parts of the US, UK and Canada which is extremely close to my heart. I think that trip helped me grow as a person.

SnapshotsTravel goals
I have way too many travel goals... putting it down here is impossible. But some places that top my travel list are Spain, the south of France and Vietnam!
