HYDERABAD: Congress leaders on Thursday accused former minister T Harish Rao of deliberately trying to mislead the people by making statements that chief minister A Revanth Reddy compromised on water issues with AP.
TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said if BRS wanted to make any valid points, the BRS leadership, former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, and Harish Rao should talk about it in the assembly.
"There is absolute clarity on what was discussed in the meeting in Delhi with the CMs of AP and Telangana participating in it. There is no confusion about what was discussed, but Harish Rao is making wild allegations that the interests of Telangana were compromised. ," Mahesh Goud said.
Sports Authority of Telangana chairman Shivasena Reddy wondered why an official meeting between the chief ministers of AP and Telangana should come under criticism. He said former minister KT Rama Rao did not have the stature to criticise Revanth Reddy.
TPCC Media Committee chairman Sama Rammohan Reddy said KCR should attend assembly sessions and raise issues.
