Minister Bandi Sanjay denies factionalism within Telangana BJP

HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay on Thursday asserted that there are no factions within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but only two groups, that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP itself. He urged certain leaders to reconsider their tendency to foster internal divisions.

Sanjay emphasised that the BJP functions on core principles and does not tolerate factionalism; any belief to the contrary, he said, is simply a misunderstanding. He made it clear that the party would not support those who prioritise personal agendas over collective goals. According to him, support is extended only to those who work sincerely.

He warned that the promotion of groupism would not be accepted and acknowledged that some individuals had previously acted against him. His remarks are particularly significant in light of the recent emergence of factions within the Telangana BJP, with many lobbying for the state president's post. Despite this, the BJP leadership appointed senior party figure N Ramchander Rao as the new chief of Telangana BJP.t
