Great Learning launches Olympus Digital Campus to help universities go online
CHENNAI: Over the last few years, the central government has doubled its efforts to promote online learning in a bid to boost India’s higher education completion rates. After the launch of Swayam in 2017, under the recently launched PM e-Vidya programme, it has permitted the top NIRF universities including IITs, IIMs, Institutes of Eminence, national institutes as well as private universities to offer their degree courses online.
Olympus Digital Campus can help these universities jumpstart the delivery of their online programmes thereby amplifying the access to high quality education to millions of students.
The demand for online education in India is its at peak currently due to the outbreak of Covid-19. There are well over 10,000 higher educational institutions in the country.
Professional education tech company Great Learning has announced its new offering ‘Olympus Digital Campus’, an end-to-end cloud-based technology solution for online learning delivery and programme management, on a subscription basis to colleges and universities across the country to help them deliver online and blended learning programs.
It supports all aspects of learning including live learning, time-tabling, proctored exams, assessments, grading, student collaboration, attendance, content development, progress/engagement tracking, and faculty feedback.
With Olympus, universities can deliver engaging online learning experience to learners on both desktops and mobile in both synchronous (live) and asynchronous (recorded) modes.
Students can use Olympus for attending lectures, accessing learning material, working on group projects, and clearing their doubts. Colleges and universities can schedule and plan proctored examinations, track learners’ engagement and design appropriate interventions to help those who are falling behind.
