Non-US citizens now represent approximately one-third of the entire GRE test-taking population. Around 37% in the age group of 18-22 are taking the exam.
BANGALORE: Of the total GRE test takers from Asia, approximately 44% is from India. There were more 18- to 22-year-old test takers this testing year and more who identified natural sciences as their intended graduate major.
This and more in a snapshot of the individuals who took the GRE revised general test, released by the GRE program.

Data in the report were based on more than half a million unique test takers who tested between July 1, 2012, and June 30, 2013, with valid scores on all three measures of the test.
