If you love dogs and love animation, Bolt is a decent one time watch but if you consider humour as an important ingredient of animation Bolt might disappoint you.
For super-dog BOLT (voice of JOHN TRAVOLTA, excellent), every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue at least until the cameras stop rolling.
1x1 polls
Bolt and his owner (Miley Cyrus) together work in a tv show and Bolt feels his onscreen persona is his real self!

Accidentally separated from the show, Bolt finds himself shipped to New York City! Taking an abandoned pet cat named Mittens (Susie Essman) as his prisoner, Bolt now wants to return to Penny (Miley Cyrus) while fighting against his own delusions. A tv-obsessed hamster called Rhino too accompanies the cat-dog duo in Bolts mission to make it to Penny in the absence of his super-powers.
Bolt is a road movie which has its share of cute moments. Mittens teaching Bolt how to make a puppy dog face to get food, Bolts love for his owner, his friendship with Mittens and Rhyno, Bolt playing with a carrot toy... these scenes make the film interesting but the pace of the film is too slow for you to keep hooked. The 3D effect is barley there and except for its cute protagonist and few scenes mentioned above, there is nothing in the film that you can take back home.
The animation is impressive but the story is no larger than life unlike Disneys regular presentations and the humour is too little.
For the kids, this is an ideal film to watch over the weekend, which is also the films target audience but otherwise the film is just okay.
