Helping Indian stomachs abroad

MUMBAI: Reacting to reports in this paper that the Indian athletes at the Athens Olympic Games are not getting the food they are used to, Karan Kumar on behalf of the Foods Division of ITC Limited, has requested to send with their compliments, the range of Aashirvaad Ready Meals, dishes that are not only typically Indian in taste but also come very close to home-cooked food.
In a communication he says: "One of the products that we sell is a range of ready-to-eat food under the brand of Aashirvaad Ready Meals. These are dishes which are pre-cooked, packaged in high quality retort pouches, and are extremely easy to use/consume. They require to be either heated for 3-5 minutes in a pan or the foil pouches to be immersed in boiling water for 3-5 minutes or heating the contents in a microwave oven for 1-2 minutes. The dishes are so prepared to give taste of home-cooked food and are 100 per cent natural using absolutely no preservatives.
Aashirvaad Ready Meals other credentials include: HACCP Certified Manufacturing Technology in collaboration with DFRL US FDA Approved.
