Square Enix reveals new Breach mode in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Square Enix finally took the wraps off its latest
The trailer showed how gamers can excel in the new arcade game mode, set in a virtual dimension. They can play as Ripper and their focus in the game will be to extract corporate data and break into secure computer servers.
Players would have to complete several objectives, including gaining experience, credits and booster packs, which would help them upgrade their weapons. These booster packs will also help players take apart and create new weapons, from the same components. We can expect more gameplay footage to be showcased at the upcoming
The Breach mode, as reported by Polygon website, features around 75 levels, each tougher than the previous one. However, developer Eidos Montreal is said to be working on adding more levels. It is also mentioned that the levels revolve around some of the corporations featured in the game. In addition, the look of each company’s level depends on its activities.
As mentioned above, Breach mode is set in a virtual dimension where everything from firewalls to robotic enemies has 3D vector designs. The puzzle arcade game is something users can spend their extra time on, when not playing the main campaign of the game.
Just as in the case of predecessor Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Mankind Divided lets gamers play as the protagonist, Adam Jensen. In Breach
“Even with his augmentations, Jensen needs to be doing stuff that makes sense. With Breach, we got rid of that. We looked at abstracting ourselves from the constraints of the real world. It’s taking the core of Deus Ex and having fun with it," said game producer Fleur Marty to Polygon website.
