Genesis emulator will be launching on Steam on April 28, via a software update. While it’s true that classic Sega games have been available on Steam for quite a while, this update will also bring the Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub on the gaming distribution platform.


The Sega Mega Drive Classics Hub is a virtual emulation environment designed to resemble the bedroom of a Sega fan from the early nineties. The emulation environment has elements such as a shelf full of Sega game titles, and even a CRT TV. The update will also bring Steam Workshop support to all your Sega gaming titles, allowing you to share modded versions of your favorite games with others.

But there’s more. The Sega Mega Drive Hub will also come with full controller/keyboard support, along with features like spot-on emulation, optional graphic enhancement filters, and the ability to save a game at any point during the game play.
