EA announces FIFA 17, Pre-order details and launch date revealed
While Ubisoft teased its upcoming big release Watch Dogs 2 in a video, rival Electronic Arts has unveiled FIFA 17. The announcement came in through a video. FIFA 17 will be hitting North America on September 27 and will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Europe and other countries will get the game on September 29.
This time, EA has shifted the game engine from Ignite to Frostbite. For those unaware, some of the game titles powered by Frostbite are Battlefield, Mirror’s Edge, Need for Speed, Dragon Age and Star Wars Battlefront. The announcement video shows players with realistic facial expressions and movements on the field. Both the developer and publisher have promised that Frostbite engine will deliver “authentic, true-to-life action” and introduce fans to “characters full of depth and emotion." However, no specifics have been mentioned.
Those who own FIFA 16 on Xbox One, PS4 or PC can pre-order FIFA 17 Super Deluxe edition through the FIFA 16 main menu and get 10% off on the purchase. Gamers can also pre-order Deluxe edition and Standard editions. Gameplay of FIFA 17 might get shown at the upcoming E3.
Electronic Arts will also be showcasing new footage of Battlefield 1, and might provide some more news on Mass Effect: Andromeda. Microsoft is also expected to introduce its new Xbox console at the event. Ubisoft will likely be launching Watch Dogs 2, South Park, Ghost Recon and maybe more. Sony too, is said to reveal God of War 4 during E3. A PlayStation 4.5 is also rumoured.
