Activision
has just announced '
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
,' the latest entry in its hugely popular first-person shooter
gaming
franchise. The publisher has also made available details about the story and game play elements, along with an action-packed debut trailer (watch below) for all
COD
fans out there.
Infinite Warfare is set for a worldwide release on November 4 this year and will be available on
PlayStation 4,
Xbox One, and
PC. Perhaps the most interesting bit here is that '
Call of Duty
: Infinite Warfare' will introduce an altogether new setting for all the action – Space.
The game’s
campaign will have new
weapons and abilities and have the player involved in everything -- from ground combat to aerial warfare in space fighters.
'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s' single-player campaign will have players assume the role of Captain Reyes, a special operations pilot tasked with commanding one of Earth’s last remaining warships. And even though multiplayer and Zombie modes are confirmed to return, not much is known yet, and more information on both modes will be revealed later this year.
Activision said that Infinite Warfare will come in three editions, as detailed below:
