NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has already confirmed that it will launch its flagship smartphone Mi 9 on February 20 in China. The company CEO Lei Jun has now shared the first official images of Mi 9. Along with the images, Jun has also shared a short video which shows the gradient back panel of the smartphone which changes colour between Purple, Blue and Green depending on how the lights hit it.

The images also reveal that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will come equipped with a triple rear camera setup. This is the first Xiaomi smartphone to sport a triple rear camera. Along with this, the company has also confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. Apart from Xiaomi, the flagship devices from Samsung, LG and Sony will also be powered by the same high-end processor.

The smartphone is said to run Android 9.0 Pie operating system. The device is said to feature a 6.4-inch full HD+ display with Water Drop notch screen. The Xiaomi Mi 9 is said to feature a 48MP rear camera with Sony IMX585 sensor. The smartphone is expected to be backed by a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. It is expected that the company will price the Mi 9 at 2999 yuan which translates into Rs 31,335.

Xiaomi has recently announced that it will launch its latest budget smartphone Redmi Note 7. The company has scheduled an event for February 28, where it will unveil the Redmi Note 7, which is the first smartphone of the company to come with a 48MP rear camera. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm 660 processor paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with dual SIM functionality and run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
