Telegram's Halloween update brings new features: Replies 2.0, Account Colors and more

Telegram now lets you quote specific sections of messages. Just tap and hold the text you want to quote and choose "Quote."

You can now seamlessly send replies to different chats. Whether you want to keep a conversation private or shift it to a new group or channel, this feature has you covered. Simply tap the reply bar, select "Reply in Another Chat," and choose your destination.

Telegram allows you to add quote formatting to text. This feature is perfect for those moments when you need to include multiple quotes in a single reply. An improved context menu makes formatting options more accessible.

You can adjust the size of the media and choose where the preview appears relative to your message. When a message contains multiple links, you can also select which link to preview, and you can open links by tapping anywhere in the preview area.

Telegram Premium users can now customise their accounts with unique colours, affecting their name in groups, link appearances, and message responses. They can also choose an icon for distinct message backgrounds when quoted or replied to.

For Android users, set your account colour by going to Settings > Chat Settings > Change Name Color. iPhone users, navigate to Settings > Appearance > Your Name Colour. These settings are also available for channels that have been boosted to Level 5 or higher.

Telegram introduced its Instagram-like Stories feature in August. With the latest update, you can fast-forward and rewind videos. Simply hold down on the screen and slide right or left to control playback.

For better selfies, the app now lets you access the front flash and adjust its warmth and intensity settings. To customise the flash, hold the thunder icon while using the front-facing camera for a story.

These updates are available for both Android and iOS users. To experience these features, update your Telegram app to version 10.1.3 or later.
