TedX Youth event comes to Delhi

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and performances are shared with the community. These events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is claimed to be xc`developed independently, but all of them have features in common. A TEDx youth event follows the same format as the standard event license and fall within the same TEDx event rules, except this event is oriented towards youth.

Part of TedX youth event, Tedxyouthbbs recently organised an event at Delhi's BlueBells School. The theme of the event was Reeti Riwaz and Renaissance, aiming to promote Indian cultural arts and break the so-called stigma that some people attach to the pursuit of classical and performing arts in India. The speakers spoke about how art is vital means of self expression and food for the soul.

The speaker list included Delhi's Kavya Singh a trained Hindustani Classical vocalist. She has been a student of classical music for over a decade and a half now. Her music has featured on Apple Music. She is currently one of the lead vocalists with the Delhi-based ensemble The Anirudh Varma Collective and has performed for cultural entities like Jaipur Literature Festival and Serendipity Arts Foundation

Other speakers include Hridika Soni, Madhura Phatak and Madhur Gupta. Sukhmanch Theatre too was part of the event.
