Samsung launched its latest foldable smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, last month. The latest clamshell offering from the South Korea-based tech giant comes with an improved camera and larger outer screen. The company has now rolled out an update for its Always On Display (AOD) app.

The latest version of the app brings some new features to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and its cover screen. This Samsung app allows users to customise the AOD feature on Galaxy smartphones and tablets with OLED screens.

Along with the AOD app, Samsung has updated its Good Lock app. Both the updated apps are available on the Galaxy Store.

AOD app update for Galaxy Z Flip 5: What’s newThe company has shared the changelog of the latest update (version 8.3.30.4). As per the changelog, the updated app won’t change the clock style for users who access the informative or graphics styles for the AoD on the cover screen, even while roaming is activated.

Samsung mentioned that a bug was causing this issue and the updated version of the app appears to have fixed it.

This update also improves memory usage during certain actions on the Galaxy Z Flip 5's cover screen. This feature is designed to improve the fluidity and battery life of the smartphone in the sleep state.

Apart from this, Samsung has also rolled out a minor update for the Good Lock app. This update has also fixed a few bugs within the app
