Reliance Jio discontinues two Jio Phone recharge plans
Reliance Jio has discontinued Rs 39 and Rs 69 Jio Phone recharge plans. As listed on Jio website, JioPhone recharge plans now start at Rs 75. This comes a day before when the company is expected to launch JioPhone Next, its affordable 4G Android phone in the country. It is expected that the company may introduce a new plan alongside the Jio Phone Next launch tomorrow.
What were the benefits under JioPhone Rs 39 and Rs 69?
Both Rs 39 and Rs 69 Jio Phone recharge plans had a validity of 14 days. While the Rs 39 plan offered 100MB of daily data, the Rs 69 recharge plan came with 0.5GB mobile data per day.
Along with unlimited voice calling, the plans also offered 100 SMS to the customers. Users also get access to Jio apps with the plans.
What does the JioPhone Rs 75 plan offer?
As mentioned above, Jio Phone plans now start at Rs 75. The plan has a validity of 28 days and offers 0.1GB internet data per day along with 200MB additional data. The plan offers unlimited voice calling with 50 SMS.
Meanwhile, JioPhone Next is expected to be launched on September 10. The smartphone is the telco’s budget Android phone that is aimed towards customers who are using 2G phones. The handset has been developed in partnership with Google. It was announced at Reliance Jio’s annual general meeting (AGM) 2021. According to online reports, the smartphone is expected to be priced around Rs 3,500 and may come with features like HD display and up to 3GB of RAM.
