Starting to use Amazon Pay is easy. Just follow three simple steps: enter your identification details, verify your phone number, and load money into your Amazon Pay Wallet.

You can load your Amazon Pay balance using cards/UPI or add Gift Cards. You can then use the balance for payments of your utility bills, to shop on Amazon, and on apps online such as Uber, Swiggy, Zomato, and more.

Amazon claims to use security protocols like PCI DSS and other online transaction standards prescribed by regulators. Amazon says that Amazon Pay Balance does not share your financial information, including credit card information, with third parties without your prior permission.

What does it cost me to use Amazon Pay
It costs you nothing. Using Amazon Pay adds no fees to your transaction with the merchant. Your purchase incurs no transaction fee, no membership fee, no currency conversion fee, no foreign transaction fee, and no other fees. Your card issuer, however, may add a foreign transaction fee if your card was issued in a country different from the merchant's, as well as any other fees described in the terms and conditions for your card.
