With an investment of Rs 400 crores, Haier aims to further strengthen its position as a leader in the home appliances sector. The expansion will add an impressive 44,890 square metres of space to the existing 3,05,726 square metres of the plant. The focus of this phase will be on establishing a dedicated plant for injection moulding and sheet metal, which will not only boost production capacity but also enhance the company's backward integration skills.

"We are thrilled to embark on the second phase of expansion at our Greater Noida plant. This significant investment not only underscores our commitment to the Indian market but also strengthens our position as a leading player in the home appliances industry. With enhanced manufacturing capabilities and increased backward integration, we are confident in our ability to deliver exceptional products to our valued customers while contributing to the larger vision of a self-reliant India," said Satish NS, president at Haier India.

In the initial phase, known as the Noida Industrial Park, Haier had already invested Rs 1,600 crores to establish the largest manufacturing unit in the region for air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators. This substantial investment showcased the company's dedication to catering to the growing demand for quality consumer appliances in India.

By expanding its operations, Haier aims to not only meet the evolving needs of its customers but also contribute to the Indian government's vision of a self-reliant nation. The increased production capacity and improved backward integration will enable Haier to manufacture a wider range of products efficiently and sustainably.
