On January 22, the consecration (pran-pratishtha) ceremony of Lord Ram will be broadcast live on Doordarshan. The Ram temple trust has encouraged people to virtually participate in the ceremony. The rituals will be relayed to villages and urban areas, displayed in temples and other public spaces. Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, is scheduled to officiate the main rituals during the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.

Timings of live telecastThe live screening of the entire religious ceremony will be done between 11am and 1pm from the newly constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Where to watch live telecastLive telecast arrangements have been made for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya Dham. The entire event will be telecast live on DD News and DD National channels of Doordarshan. Doordarshan will also share feed with other news agencies. For other broadcasters, Doordarshan will share a YouTube link.

DD has installed 40 camerasNearly 40 cameras will be installed by Doordarshan at various locations in Ayodhya, including the new Ram temple complex, for live coverage of the consecration ceremony which will be broadcast in cutting-edge 4K technology, a top official has said. Besides the main temple premises, the national broadcaster will beam live visuals on different channels from Ram ki Paidi near Saryu ghat, Jatayu statue at Kuber Tila, among other locations.

"Like the G20...when we had done 4K transmission, this time also, Doordarshan will do it in 4K (broadcast technology).... The entire coverage will be live and broadcast in different languages, and on different channels. And, private channels will also get the feed via Doordarshan," Ministry of Information and Broadcasting secretary Apurva Chandra told PTI recently.

Live telecast at temples across IndiaA live broadcast of the ceremony will be broadcast at various Indian embassies and consulates around the world. Preparations are also being made to broadcast the event at thousands of temples and booths across India. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has said that the broadcast of the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya live at the booth level nationwide.

PM Narendra Modi to attend Ram Mandir inaugurationThe 'Pran Pratishtha' of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. According to temple trust, invites have gone to about 8,000 guests for the ceremony.

When will the temple open to the general public
The temple complex will be opened to people from January 23 onwards.
