Unsubscribe from mass emails

To unsubscribe from a sender in Gmail, open the email, find the "Unsubscribe" or "Change preferences" link (usually at the email's bottom), click the link, and confirm to stop receiving emails. If the Unsubscribe link is not visible, you can report the email as spam or block the sender as alternative options.

3/5

Create Gmail filters for spam detection

To create a filter for spam emails in Gmail, open Gmail, type "unsubscribe" in the search bar, click "Search," select emails to filter, click the three dots icon, choose "Filter messages like these," select actions for future spam emails in the creation window (e.g., Delete, Mark as spam), and click "Create filter." Gmail will apply the chosen actions to future spam emails automatically.

4/5

Delete emails in bulk

To delete multiple emails in Gmail, open it in your browser, click the Inbox tab, check the "Select all" checkbox, and if there are multiple pages, click "Select all conversations" at the bottom. Finally, click "Delete" and confirm to remove the selected emails.

5/5

Delete messages from a specific category in bulk

To delete unread emails in Gmail, go to Gmail in your browser, type 'label:unread' in the search bar, press enter, select all displayed messages, click "Select all conversations that match this search," and click the delete icon. Note that deleted emails go to the Trash folder and are permanently deleted after 30 days.
