Star Kannadiga Movie Review : A stale story with lackluster narrative

Critic's Rating: 1.5/5
From the time he could remember, Manju has dreamt of becoming a filmmaker in Sandalwood, even though he has no family support to bank on. Thankfully, his friends share this dream and, together, they embark on this mission.
During their seach for a girl to play the heroine, Manju meets and falls in love with Roopa, the sole breadwinner of her family, who makes a living as an autorickshaw driver, while also attending evening college. The loved up couple then decide to take their relationship to the next level, and that’s when the twist in the tale unfolds.
Star Kannadiga is a futile attempt by a bunch of newcomers, which doesn't make any impact. The content is stale and the conventional style of storytelling leaves one disappointed. The movie could have probably worked in the 80s. The only solace is a couple of melodious tracks.
