Punyathgittiru Movie Review

A story of four girls who fight for the good of society. But do they succeed in their mission?

Punyathgittiru follows four tomboy girls who fight against social evils. From helping a hapless farmer arrange money for his daughter’s wedding, to lending a helping hand to an orphaned boy, Prasanna, to participate in a dance-reality show and more, the girls are always there for anyone in need.

Their motto, though, is to help the needy by hook or by crook, owing to which they end up using illegal means. This lands them in legal trouble, following which Prasanna refuses to take part in the show. Realising their folly, the girls decide mend their ways, but just then, Prasanna goes missing.

Punyathgittiru has quite a few action sequences, but they fall flat. The narrative lacks direction and fails to leave a mark. Despite some dance numbers, even the second half fails to evoke any interest. The amateurish acting by the protagonists, coupled with a poor script makes this one a tedious watch. Watch it at your own risk.
