Oronnonnara Pranayakadha Movie Review

Critic's Rating: 2.0/5
Story: Ramanan and Amina are childhood sweethearts. Their love grows with them and he proposes. Life changes after that.

Review: Young love is a cliché plot for directors. It takes on the tones of an epic love story when the couple are from different religions. Director Shibu Balan takes the same approach with ‘Oronnonnara Pranayakadha’.

Amina and Ramanan are childhood sweethearts and go to the same college, and are singing stars there. The love story is not just romance, there is some fun weaved in with them teasing each other and pulling each other’s legs.

Actress Rachel David plays a smart and beautiful youngster from a wealthy family and Shebin Benson, is the introvert Ramanan, who is the son of an ex-military man played by Alencier Ley Lopez. When both of them reveal their love for each other their lives change.

Though the director has tried to string together a love story, the film slips in the first half to other socio-political issues. After the generally cheerful first half, the second half gets a bit confusing. With a mediocre love story, the flavour of the film only lies in the music. The frames looks like they are from a short film.

The characters are stereotypical of a love story and the trite love story with a frivolous plot does not have any memorable moments.
