Story: When a literature graduate working as a waiter tries to finance his dream of owning a car showroom through betting, he finds himself stuck in a vicious drug circle. Review: P.G Wodehouse made a living out of his Jeeves and Wooster stories revolving around misunderstandings and the resultant chaos. Many movies around the same concept have also done exceedingly well. This one, however is a slapdash mash-up of all these movies we have been watching for years now. Naïve protagonist- Aalap (Abhijeet Satam), silly underworld dons and a dabangg police woman - Surabhi (Nikita Giridhar), the movie has as many hackneyed characters as possible. Throughout its two odd hours of running, the director Shivdarshan Sable simply keeps introducing characters without any purpose. To top it, we even have a woman driver running people over in a cameo role every now and then. The confusion and exasperation which starts right since the beginning, continues throughout. It even makes you question the point of making this movie. You tend to try and find a silver lining, be it in the form of acting, music or some humorous dialogues. But alas there isn’t any. On the contrary, it just ends up becoming haphazardly thrown sequences without any story line and shoddy direction. Despite earnest efforts by Abhijeet and Nikita in the acting department, their characters have failed to strike a chord. And you simply fail to take cognisance of the others sauntering in and out of the screen. Some no-brainers are meant to entertain us. But Lagi to Chhagi may not be the one. We would say there have been better ones in this genre.
