Ganda Oorige Hodaga Movie Review

Five housewives decide to go on an all-girls getaway to a farmhouse when their husbands are away. The fun-laden outing filled with alcohol and banter takes twists for the unexpected, before the maker decides to play the family sentiment card.

With a title reading Ganda Oorig Hodaga and an A certificate, it isn't too hard to predict that this film will have a few raunchy scenes in the name of fun. But this film tries to be more than just a titillating watch, with director Sai Krishna trying to play with emotions towards the climax of the film. Ironically, one wonders if the extensive skin show and sensual scenes were really required once the director gets to his message.

The film doesn't have the most complex plot. One even gets to see the five women dressed in hot pants take on goons and beat them black and blue to get that extra attention from the frontbenchers. The film has a lot of dialogues that are loaded with double entendre. And there are dance numbers too that see the women display skimpy outfits and shake all that they have. One of the tracks is even an unapologetic lift from a popular dance number from the West.

This film doesn't promise any earth shattering content. Instead, like it's rating suggests, it has a lot of titillating scenes, with woman drinking, dancing and talking about sex. If that's what it takes to get you to the cinema hall, then this is the perfect outing for you.
