A shocking incident has been reported in Andhra Pradesh, a routine online shopping experience took a horrifying turn when a woman expecting home appliances received a dead body instead. The woman also received a letter demanding Rs 1.3 crore. Local police authorities were notified and immediately visited the scene and sent the body across to the mortuary for further investigation.

The woman has been identified as Sagi Tulasi, who was living and constructing a house on a government-allotted plot. However, as per reports, Tulasi suddenly began receiving assistance from a philanthropist. In September, he sent her high-quality tiles and paint for her home. According to the police, the unidentified philanthropist claimed to be helping her because they shared the same caste and because she was a widow.

Anticipating the appliances, Tulasi opened them but was horrified only to discover the decomposing body of a 45-year-old unidentified man, along with a ransom letter demanding an odd amount of ₹1.3 crore. The man appears to have died four to five days ago.

Media reports suggest that the note indicated the demand was for the compounded amount of a loan taken several years ago. Further the letter also warned of gruesome consequences if their demands were not met. As per the police, the letter reads as follows, “So, if you don't want anything bad to happen, you should pay up".

The District superintendent of police, Adnan Nayeem Asmi, informed the media that the referred package was delivered to a family of four at the under-construction house in Yendagandi village in Undi mandal in an autorickshaw on Thursday night.

The SP has informed us that they have been checking up on all the missing people in the last three to four days. The police are also awaiting results from the post-mortem. While all this unfolds, the police have also noted that the younger son-in-law of the family has been missing since yesterday.

The initial investigation has revealed that Tulasi's husband went missing more than 10 years ago and has not been found since. Tulasi now lived with her parents. According to the police, Tulasi initially lived with her parents but later moved into rented accommodation before beginning construction on her house, located about a kilometer away from her parents' residence.

A few other media reports also implicate the Kshatriya Seva Samithi in the case. The reports claim that the community was helping Sagi Tulasi and it was them who had promised to send appliances to Sagi for her new house. Previously they had also sent tiles to her. The representatives of the community have also been called for questioning.
