Assault allegations by his wife
Vivek Bindra got married to Yanika on December 6, 2023, and just days after their wedding, a police complaint was registered against Bindra for allegedly assaulting his wife. The charges include assault, intentional insult, property damage, and causing grievous harm under sections 323, 504, 427, and 325, respectively. The complaint, Vivek Bindra's brother-in-law Vaibhav, alleges that Bindra argued with his mother. And when Yanika intervened, a fight broke out between Vivek and Yanika. So much so that Vivek Bindra then locked his wife, Yanika, in a room and subjected her to physical and verbal abuse, resulting in injuries. As per reports, Yanika Bindra is admitted to a hospital in Delhi and is undergoing treatment.
Controversy between Sandeep Maheshwari and Vivek Bindra
Bindra and fellow motivational speaker Sandeep Maheshwari have clashed over the former's allegations that Bindra exploited Maheshwari's followers by offering an expensive course and involving them in a government-disapproved pyramid scheme for its promotion. Bindra has been labeled a "scammer" in a video titled "Big Scam Exposed" by Sandeep Maheshwari. In the video, students claim to have been charged exorbitant fees for a non-existent business course.
The Morbi Controversy
Bindra faced criticism for publicly denouncing the quality of tiles produced by a company after an industrial visit. The president of Morbi Ceramic Association responded, expressing displeasure, and stated that Bindra should have thoroughly understood the subject before damaging the company's reputation on social media.
Sikh Community Controversies
In June 2022, Bindra drew criticism from the Sikh community for the alleged misrepresentation of Guru Gobind Singh in one of his videos. Sikh organizations, including the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, filed complaints worldwide. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) sent a legal notice, prompting Bindra to apologize and remove the video from his platforms.
IMA defamation case
Bindra faced legal action from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) for a video where he criticized doctors, accusing them of unethical practices. Despite receiving a defamation notice for labelling doctors as "murderers in white coats," Bindra defended himself in court, citing freedom of expression, and emerged victorious in the case.
