Who is Sasha Sobhani?

Sasha Sobhani, whose real name is Mohammad‑Reza Sobhani, is an Iranian‑born influencer and expat who now lives in Spain. His father, Ahmad Sobhani, served as Iran’s ambassador to Venezuela from 2001 to 2006 and later held positions in Tehran’s foreign‑policy establishment, including as deputy foreign minister under then‑president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In the video, he is heard saying, “Thank God for all these blessings,” he is seen settling into a lounge‑style couch inside the aircraft with his partner.

Sobhani’s history

Iran has long viewed Sobhani less as a harmless party‑boy and more as a political nuisance. Tehran has accused him of running illegal gambling websites and money‑laundering, charges that led to an arrest and a prison sentence in Iran; he has denied these allegations and claims they are politically motivated.
