Who is Indresh Upadhyay

Indresh Upadhyay is a well-known storyteller from Mathura–Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh. He is the son of Krishna Chandra Shastri Maharaj and Narwada Sharma, and reports state that he has three sisters. His interest in spiritual texts began early, and he completed his study of the Bhagavad Gita at the age of 13.

He went on to establish the Bhaktipath Organisation, which works toward spreading the teachings of respected Indian sages and saints. He also has a strong online presence, with 2.1 million followers on Instagram.

Who is Shipra

According to a report by Navbharat Times, Shipra, who is marrying Indresh, comes from a respected family. She is originally from Yamuna Nagar in Haryana. Her father, Pandit Harendra Sharma, worked as a DSP in the Uttar Pradesh Police. The family now lives in Amritsar, Punjab.

Indresh and Shipra have known each other for many years. Their families share a long-standing relationship, and the wedding is taking place with the blessings of both sides.

The wedding in Jaipur

The wedding is being held at Hotel Taj Amer in Jaipur, which has been beautifully decorated with a Vedic and spiritual theme. The main rituals are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a reception at the same venue later in the evening.

Pre-wedding celebrations in Vrindavan

As reported by Navbharat Times, before the celebrations moved to Jaipur, Indresh’s home in Vrindavan hosted traditional ceremonies like haldi and sangeet on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the wedding procession set off for Jaipur.

Indresh wore an off-white sherwani with a traditional turban and carried a silver staff. His niece rode alongside him on a mare. The procession was grand, featuring elephants and horses, with many guests riding on horseback while holding symbols of Banke Bihari. Indresh’s father, storyteller Shrikrishnachandra Shastri, also took part in the procession.

According to Navbharat Times, several well-known spiritual figures and public personalities are expected to attend the ceremony.
B Praak
Bollywood singer B Praak, also known as Prateek Bachchan, is among the celebrities attending. He began his career as a music producer before rising to fame with Punjabi music. His song Teri Mitti Mein Mil Jawa from the film Kesari became a major hit and won him an award.
Pandit Dhirendra Shastri
Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham is among the invited guests. He is a close friend of Indresh, and the two often play cricket together - several videos of which have surfaced online. He remains in the news for predicting people’s futures and recently began a padayatra to promote Sanatan Dharma.
Devkinandan Maharaj
Devkinandan Thakur Maharaj, founder of the Vishwa Shanti Seva Charitable Trust in Vrindavan, is one of the prominent saints expected at the event. He is known for reciting the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Shiv Mahapuran, and Shri Ram Katha.
Rajendra Das Maharaj
Rajendra Das Maharaj, also known as Malukpeethadhiswar, has been invited. He leads the Sanatan Dharma Sanstha in Vrindavan and focuses on religious teachings, Vedic principles, and cow service.
Pundrik Swami
Pundrik Swami, another respected storyteller, is also on the guest list. He is known for raising awareness about religious practices, cow service, and various social causes through his teachings.
