The vision behind the design

The design of Connaught Place is in the Georgian style and drew inspiration from the Royal Crescent in Bath, England. It aimed to cater to Delhi’s elite, especially those residing in the Lutyens Bungalow Zone. Its circular layout, comprising the Inner and Outer Circles, was strategically planned to enhance connectivity and symbolize the unity of the city’s diverse elements.
