A Lamborghini Aventador, reportedly valued at nearly ₹10 crore, caught fire on a public road in Bengaluru on Sunday evening. The vehicle belongs to content creator and social media influencer Sanjeev, popularly known by his Instagram handle Nimma Mane Maga Sanju, as reported by NDTV.
The fire appeared to originate from the rear of the car, where the engine is located. Videos from the scene showed local residents attempting to bring the flames under control using buckets of water, sand, and a fire extinguisher.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Viral clips fuel online chatterFootage of the burning vehicle quickly circulated across social media platforms, attracting wide attention. The visuals show a crowd gathering around the car, with some attempting to help and others recording the incident.
Watch the video here: While early speculation on social media suggested that the car might have been extensively damaged, Sanjeev later clarified that the vehicle only suffered minor damage and that the fire was contained in time, according to the report.
Influencer known for luxury cars and distinct personal styleSanjeev, who has over two lakh followers on Instagram, is known for regularly posting content featuring his high-end cars and personal lifestyle. He also stands out for his signature look, often wearing elaborate gold jewellery.
Though active in the digital space, he identifies himself as a farmer, as per the report.
The Lamborghini Aventador is among several premium vehicles he owns.
Cause of fire remains unknownThere has been no official statement so far on what may have triggered the fire. The exact cause– whether mechanical or otherwise– is still unclear at this stage.
Similar incident reported last year in MumbaiThis is not the first time a Lamborghini has caught fire in India. According to media reports, in December last year, a Lamborghini Revuelto went up in flames on Mumbai’s Coastal Road, drawing similar online attention. Both vehicles fall within the same price bracket.
