Watch: JCB machine and concrete mixer used to make Bhandara in Madhya Pradesh
Bhind, situated in the heart of Madhya Pradesh, is celebrated for its ravines, fertile land, and dense forests. However, recent viral videos have brought attention to an unusual practice in the region, eliciting widespread astonishment. In one video, a colossal JCB crane is utilized as a ladle to pour dal into a large container, while another depicts a cement mixer being used to prepare a well-cooked stew.
Moreover, the praiseworthy effort involves the employment of more than 800 cooks, comprising 500 male cooks and 300 female cooks. The "meticulously crafted" meal includes items such as kheer, puri, vegetables, and malpua.
The prasada, intended for more than 200 thousand followers who attended the Shiv Mahapurana Katha from various parts of India, became a health hazard as it was prepared using flour, jaggery, and potato gravy mixed in large containers with cement mixing machines and cranes.
The disturbing video of this prasada has gone viral on social media, drawing attention to the unsanitary conditions of food distribution. Several videos depict devotees in Bhind being served food shockingly – a large JCB dipping into hot, steaming stew and a mixing machine combining various food items.
In these videos, workers are seen adding large quantities of flour and jaggery for mixing. The videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media, with many expressing disappointment in the state of governance in the region. One user sarcastically commented, "Road roller is also good for bread," while another remarked, "So clean, so hygienic, so healthy...just looking like a no!!" A third user humorously added, "Swaad me best, JCB aur Everest."
In another instance, a video of 'prasad being made using a JCB and cement mixing machine has emerged from Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh'. The incident is said to have taken place at Dandraua dham where controversial self-styled godman Dhirenra Kumar Shastri was delivering a sermon.
The overall sentiment among viewers reflects concern about the unhygienic practices and raises questions about the quality of governance in the state.
