Then, the most unexpected reason comes to light that your beloved pet has filed your resignation. Sounds absurd, right? Well, that’s exactly what happened to a woman in China, whose cat accidentally sent her resignation letter while she was still skeptical about quitting her job.

A woman in Chongqing, China, found herself out of a job after her cat accidentally sent her resignation letter. The 25-year-old woman, who lives with nine cats, said that she had written a resignation letter but was hesitant to send it because she needed the money from her job to support her pets. Unfortunately, her cat had other plans. As she pondered over the decision, her cat jumped onto her desk and pressed the enter key on her laptop, unintentionally sending the resignation email to her boss.

In an attempt to save her job, the woman immediately contacted her boss and explained the situation, attributing the mishap to her cat. However, it happened to be useless. Her boss accepted the resignation and she consequently lost both her job and the year-end bonus she had been counting on.

While the woman was desperately searching to find a new employment, the woman shared her unusual story on social media, where it went viral. The incident got numerous reactions on social media, one user commented, "It sounds more like your cat is doing your boss a favor, saving them a large sum of bonus money."

Similar incidents that caused trouble

This is not the first time pets have caused unintended consequences for their owners. In one instance, a dog in the United States accidentally dialed 911, leading to an unexpected visit from the police. The dog, playing with the owner's phone, inadvertently pressed the emergency call button. The police arrived at the house to find nothing amiss, except for a very confused dog.

Another incident involved a parrot in the UK that mimicked the sound of a smoke alarm, prompting the neighbors to call the fire department. The firefighters arrived only to find that the alarm was coming from the clever bird, not an actual fire.
