Viral video: Woman plays with 4 rescued lion cubs; netizens give undivided attention

A heartwarming video of British conservationist Freya Aspinall cuddling with four rescued lion cubs has been winning the internet. In the footage that has been going viral ever since it was posted online, Freya Aspinall is surrounded by the four lion cubs and they are seen snuggling up to her like domestic pets.

How they made their way to Aspinall is a heart-touching story. She explained that these cubs were rescued when they were hours away from being euthanized and that she took the responsibility to raise them and nurturing them with all her might. While several netizens praised her for her commitment to saving the cubs, a few shared their concerns over her close contact with wild animals.

Aspinall eventually plans to let them live their independent life in Africa, but for the moment she's busy playing mommie to these cute little beings.

"How I sleep at night (not pets)... A few months ago, we rescued 4 baby lions who were only hours away from being euthanized. They were born in captivity to someone who exploits animals for profit, and someone reached out to us to see if we could help. Within hours, we were able to intervene and rescue them immediately. I then began the journey of hand-raising them, which included sleeping with them and nurturing them as a mother would. Our plan is to send them to Africa, where they truly belong, just as we have done with other lions we’ve rescued and hand-raised before. Hand-raising is always a last resort, but in this case, it was the only way to save their lives," read her caption which was shared along with the video.

Aspinall explained that the four cubs were born to a lion that was bred in a circus, and that she agreed to hand-raise them as it was the only option available at the moment. She added that her hope and plan is to send them to Africa, where they truly belong.

Multiple internet users came forward to share that they were more jealous of Freya Aspinall and praised her for being a living angel and providing a home for the beautiful creatures. One comment even described it as "heaven" for Freya Aspinall.
