Dogs are a “man’s best friend” for their loyalty, companionship, and ability to bring joy to our lives. They offer unconditional love and support, forming an unbreakable bond with their human counterparts. These furry friends wag their tails, greet us at the door and give us a feeling of comfort during tough times. Recently, a beautiful story of an adorable bond between an auto-rickshaw driver and his loyal dog, Jackie, has gone viral online and touched the hearts of many.
In Bengaluru, an auto-rickshaw driver and his faithful dog, Jackie, have become a social media sensation where Jackie has been with the driver since he was four days old, and since then, they have never been apart. Each day, Jackie travels with his owner, amid the scenes and sounds of the busy city.
A photograph posted by a Bengaluru traveller captures this special pair in transit, which shows the driver busy with his phone and Jackie taking the view of street scenes, looking utterly relaxed. The photo in the post was shot in a hurry, drawing more than 45,000 views and overwhelming the comments page with praise for both the human and the pet. The caption of the X post is as follows:
“My auto wale bhaiyya has his dog (the name is Jackie) with him in the auto; this kid has been with him from when he was 4 days old and now they travel together everywhere. Does this call for a @PeakBangalore moment??”
The post got along well with many users, who shared their love for the duo. One user wrote, “def peak pet love moment.” Another user commented, “Only auto i am ok to travel in blr.” A third individual humorously noted, “Peak Bangalore moment is the current condition of roads that Jackie has to ride on.” An X user even recalled traveling in the same auto-rickshaw, saying, “Wow I’ve been in this auto too 3ish weeks back, I met Jackie too.”
Previously, a four-year-old Swiss Dalmatian named Spotty made headlines after a video of her traveling in business class on a Singapore Airlines flight went viral. Spotty became an internet sensation as she sat calmly in her seat for the entire 5.5-hour journey from Singapore to Tokyo without needing a toilet break.
Recently, another viral moment featured an autorickshaw driver with a unique love message on his vehicle. The message on the backrest read, "Be with someone with whom even an auto feels like a Mercedes”.
