Indonesian trans influencer Ratu Thalisa sentenced for mocking Jesus during live stream

Following the viral controversy of her October 2024 live stream, Ratu Thalisa has been sentenced to three years in prison for her comments about Jesus Christ. The influencer, who made the remark about Jesus needing a haircut to "look more like his father," was convicted by a court in Medan, Indonesia. In addition to her jail sentence, Thalisa was also ordered to pay a fine of 100 million IDR ($6,200).
