Elon Musk reveals the real inspiration behind his twins’ names

Elon Musk stepped into dad mode on January 8, 2026, when he talked about his 4-year-old twins, Strider Sekhar and Comet Azure, whom he shares with Shivon Zilis, a top Neuralink executive. The Tesla CEO replied to a Tesla Owners Silicon Valley X post featuring a photo of him with the kids from a May 2025 event. There, he explained their unique names and the inspiration behind them.
"Me with my son, Strider Sekhar (named after Aragorn & great Indian physicist Chandrasekhar) and daughter, Comet Azure, named after the most powerful spell in Elden Ring," Musk wrote on X, as quoted by People magazineStrider draws from Aragorn's alias in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, while Sekhar honours Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar, the Nobel-winning Indian-American astrophysicist, famous for work on stars and black holes. Comet Azure comes from a top spell in the hit video game Elden Ring, which Musk once called "the most beautiful art I have ever seen" on X.
