Robot dog with Elon Musk’s face spotted in public, viewers call it ‘bizarre’
A new viral clip is making waves online and people cannot stop discussing it. It is not a usual tech video or a simple street moment. This one stands out because it feels both real and unusual at the same time. A robot dog walking in public has caught attention, but what makes it different is the face it carries.
The video has quickly spread across platforms, with viewers reacting in very different ways. Some are curious, some are amused, and some clearly feel uncomfortable. The reason is simple. It looks familiar, but at the same time, it does not feel normal.
The incident was noticed in public spaces of San Francisco, including Oracle Park and the SoMa district. People walking around suddenly stopped when they saw something unusual moving nearby.
It was a robot dog, but instead of a regular design, it had the face of Elon Musk. The face looked very real, which made it even more noticeable for people around.
Many onlookers paused, watched it closely and started recording videos.
What made this robot different was its behaviour. It did not move like a basic machine.
It waved, squatted and even lifted a leg. At times, it also barked back at real dogs that came close.
This made it feel more like a real animal, which added to the reactions from people watching it.
The robot also caught the attention of real dogs nearby. They approached it, sniffed it, barked and moved around it.
It seemed like they were trying to understand what it actually was. This made the moment even more interesting for people present there.
This robot is part of a digital art project called “Regular Animals” created by Mike Winkelmann, known as Beeple.
The idea behind the project is to combine robot dog bodies with highly realistic silicone masks. These masks are designed by special effects creators and look almost lifelike.
The Elon Musk version is just one example. Other robots in the project feature faces of Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso and even Beeple himself, as reported by News18.
The project is not only about how it looks. In earlier versions, these robots were also able to take photos and “print” them as part of the artwork, as reported by News18.
This made the experience more interactive for people who came across it.
The robots were brought onto the streets as part of a promotional activity for Beeple’s upcoming exhibition “INFINITE_LOOP” at a digital art centre in Palo Alto, as reported the New York Post.
The aim was to bring art closer to people in everyday spaces. As one representative said, “It stops people in their tracks and gets them talking."
The video has led to mixed reactions online.
Some users described it as “terrifying” and “so wrong,” showing discomfort. Others found it entertaining and called it “hilarious” and “brilliant.”
This mix of opinions is one of the reasons why the video is trending.
It is still not known whether Elon Musk or the other personalities featured in the project have given permission for their likeness to be used.
There is no clear confirmation on this.
