Ranthambore National Park: Tiger cub steals the show in the parking area with an adorable, majestic walk

Ranthambore National Park is one of the most sought-after safaris in India, surrounded by the ancient ruins of a UNESCO-listed fort, and home to numerous Tiger families.


Spotting one of these big cats is no less than a dream come true for tourists and travellers who wander to catch a glimpse of these beautiful species.


But what if you are lucky enough to see a tiger cub right in front of your eyes, without venturing much deeper into the terrain!

Tiger cub wanders into the Ranthambore parking, and tourists can’t get enough

Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan delivered another unforgettable wildlife moment recently when one of tigress Riddhi's cubs boldly entered the parking area near the historic Ranthambore Fort. Tourists in safari jeeps saw the young tiger padding confidently along the boundary wall, making the routine stop a pure delight. The footage was widely shared online, and went viral as social media couldn't seem to get enough of the adorable baby.




According to the caption from the official Ranthambore National Park Instagram account, “One of tigress Riddhi’s cubs was spotted walking into the Ranthambore Fort parking area, reminding us how closely wildlife and history coexist here. Moments like these show why Ranthambore is truly special”. Riddhi, a well-known resident ( labeled T-124), has raised her cubs in areas frequented by tourists, including zones around the fort ruins. Past videos show her playing with them near waterholes and paths, making her famous among tourists.

Baby cub was spotted earlier, too!

The viral clip, first posted around January 5-8, 2026, shows the cub moving calmly despite nearby vehicles. Tourists film from inside their jeeps, following park protocol, as one driver backs up the vehicle to give space.

This happened outside Zone 3, a popular safari area where the tiger territory lies near ancient structures. Similar sightings, like Riddhi's cubs frolicking or stopping traffic on fort roads, have gone viral before, bringing attention to the park's 392-sq-km expanse.
