‘People are preparing for a crisis’: Vizag shop sells 100 induction stoves in 48 hours

A video from Vizag is now going viral on social media after showing how quickly the demand for induction cookers has increased at a local electronics store.

People shift to electric cooking

With LPG becoming difficult to access in some places, many people are now turning to induction stoves that run on electricity.

A man whose father owns an electronics shop in Vizag shared a video explaining the sudden rise in demand. In the clip, he said, “People of Vizag are preparing themselves for a crisis; at least that is what the numbers say!”

During the conversation in the video, he asked his father, “How many induction cookers do we sell in a day?”

The shop owner replied that on normal days, they usually sell only two to three induction stoves.

Shop sells over 100 induction cookers

However, things changed quickly in the past few days.

When the man asked about recent sales, his father revealed that the shop had sold more than 100 induction stoves in just the last two days. The video also shows multiple boxes of induction cookers placed near the billing counter.

“Right now at the billing counter, there are 10 induction stoves that are being sold at this moment,” the man says while showing the shop.

He also explained that his father had expected the demand earlier. “And surprisingly, my father actually predicted this, and he had placed an order for all these induction stoves five days in advance.”

Apart from the stoves, cookware designed for induction cooking is also being purchased by customers.

The video quickly spread across social media and has received millions of views.

Several users appreciated the shop owner for thinking ahead and preparing for the demand.
