TikTok users consider this letter a key to understanding the current world order, suggesting it provides clues to the Israel-Hamas conflict. The Guardian published the two-page document, including bin Laden's ideological beliefs and reasons behind the 9/11 attacks.

In the letter, bin Laden mentions the deployment of soldiers against him and alleges an alliance with Israelis to oppress Saudi Arabia. The translated text reads, "They allied with the Israelis to oppress us and occupy our land; that was the reason for our response on the eleventh."

The TikTok trend started when Lynnette Adkins urged her followers to read the letter, resulting in over 12 million views. Users were surprised and asked many questions, expressing shock and prompting a flood of comments. The video sparked an existential crisis for Adkins.

After people shared the letter, The Guardian took it down on November 15, 2023. Users questioned the removal, with some finding it strange for a reputed news outlet to retract an article. The Guardian later explained that the removal was due to the letter being shared without the full context on social media. They redirected readers to the original news article for a comprehensive understanding.
