The. ONLY reason that these Rajput and Maratha families are still extremely well endowed, especially in the form of places, forts, landbanks, trusts, jewellery collections, vintage artifacts is that they towed the line in collaboration and submission to their British masters, be it supporting them in their wars, the mutiny of 1857 and so many other episodes...All of them were traitors to the national cause and surprisingly, they are well respected, adored in the current climate too all of of them having political power &/or patronage too!In fact, their assets should have been confiscated after independence...This is a travesty of times and they are a blot on the national conscience...Pathetic!Read allPost comment
