'Mean girls move': Trump’s Presidential Walk of Fame plaques spark outrage online
Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America is an enigmatic yet straightforward man. He might not let you know if he likes you, but if he doesn't, he will make you aware of it in thousands of different ways.
Case in point, as the new White House Presidential Wall of Fame plaques are all 'insulting' to Trump's predecessors and their work for the country. These new plaques in gold and black are written in the style of his social media posts with insults and random capitalisations.
One plaque at the front of the exhibit, which lines the walkway outside the West Wing of the White House says it was “conceived, built, and dedicated” by Trump “as a tribute to past Presidents, good, bad and somewhere in the middle, who served our Country, and gave up so much in so doing.”
Barack Obama was described as 'One of the most divisive political figures in American History'. “Barack Hussein Obama was the first Black President, a community organizer, one-term Senator from Illinois, and one of the most divisive political figures in American History,” the plaque reads. His work description includes the passing of “the highly ineffective ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act” and signing “the one-sided Paris Climate Accords.”
Former President Bill Clinton's plaque notes his policy achievements but also points out Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 loss to Trump. “In 2016, President Clinton’s wife, Hillary, lost the Presidency to President Donald J. Trump!”
"Nothing says "I am secure in my own legacy" like writing a diss track on a plaque under your predecessor" wrote a person on X.
"Needed two plaques for Barack apparently. That’s high praise, I’d say. He normally just calls everyone Low-IQ and a loser," added another.
"In the past I might have thought, “We are better than this.” But we aren’t. This is what we have become," one pointed out.
"I’ve literally seen more emotional intelligence and maturity from 6-year-olds," quipped one.
"Trump pulled a mean girls burn book move, but he forgets how that ended for Regina George," mocked another.
According to the Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, the plaques are "eloquently written descriptions" of each President and the legacy they left behind. "As a student of history, many were written directly by the President himself,” she told CNN in a statement.
While the plaques may have been a move to take a dig at the previous Presidents by Trump, this has only shed light on how disrespectful and insecure he is in his own term and work. With a third term not in sight, it seems he is doing all he can to be remembered later on.

What do the Trump plaques say about other Presidents?
The plaque of former President Joe Biden, who is represented by the photo of an autopen, showcases Trump's view of his term. “Sleepy Joe Biden was, by far, the worst President in American History. Taking office as a result of the most corrupt Election ever seen in the United States, Biden oversaw a series of unprecedented disasters that brought our Nation to the brink of destruction,” a part of the plaque read.Barack Obama was described as 'One of the most divisive political figures in American History'. “Barack Hussein Obama was the first Black President, a community organizer, one-term Senator from Illinois, and one of the most divisive political figures in American History,” the plaque reads. What does Trump's own plaque say?
As expected Trump's own plaque is coos his own trumpet. It celebrates his 2024 victory, saying he overcame the “unprecedented Weaponization of Law Enforcement against him, as well as two assassination attempts.” It also states that Trump has "delivered" his promise to usher in the "Golden Age of America."Netizens react to the new White House plaques
American citizens have not been liking much of the renovation Trump has planned and executed for the White House. His new addition, similarly is not being welcomed on the internet and people are accusing him of being insecure in his work."Nothing says "I am secure in my own legacy" like writing a diss track on a plaque under your predecessor" wrote a person on X.
