Indian-origin CEO marries MIT sweetheart in a 2,700-year-old Spanish town, dreamy wedding pictures win hearts online
Ours is an era of polarisation, when there are not many things people can agree on. Yet love, as it turns out, remains one of the few. That truth was reflected this week when a New York-based Indian-origin founder shared wedding pictures from Spain that instantly won hearts online.
Ayush Sharma, founder and CEO, revealed that he tied the knot with his longtime partner in Segovia, a 2,700-year-old Spanish town known for its medieval charm. The couple exchanged vows inside a 500-year-old cathedral, with Sharma later posting: “Married the love of my life in a 500-year-old cathedral in a 2,700-year-old town in Spain this weekend.” The pictures show the newlyweds leaning into each other against ancient stone walls, surrounded by the timeless beauty of their venue.

Overwhelmed with such adoration from netizens, Ayush, in the comment section, narrated how the two met. He wrote, "Gabriella and I met 8 years ago at MIT, and have been together ever since. When we met, I was 20 and she was 18. We were nothing but two broke students back in Cambridge. Since then, we’ve grown together, fought many fights, and yet have always loved each other to no end."
As an after note, Ayush expressed that "Despite the ongoing race wars, good day to remember that love is real and when you meet the right person nothing else matters."
Social media reactionsThe comment section was bursting with reactions like, "Congratulations on your marriage!", and "Such a great couple." A few were even curious about the location. One user wrote, "Love triumphs over everything, congratulations to both of you".
Another commented, "This is what life is all about bro. X would have tech bros believe otherwise."
A third user said, "The Spain + cathedral + marriage vibe made me comment wholeheartedly — wishing you both endless congratulations and togetherness."
In an era often dominated by division, stories like Ayush and Gabriella’s remind us that love continues to transcend boundaries, cultures, and faiths.

Addressing the question of converting into Catholicism, Ayush clarified that the couple, in respect for both their religions, held both a Hindu as well as a Christian ceremony. Sharma added, “I of course didn’t have to convert to Catholicism or anything. It was actually my decision that we get married in Spain, because I really adore European/gothic cathedral architecture.” They have registered their inter faith marriage as per the Archdiocese of Miami and Segovia. As an after note, Ayush expressed that "Despite the ongoing race wars, good day to remember that love is real and when you meet the right person nothing else matters."
