He sold chai from a Rolls-Royce after spending Rs 1 lakh – what he earned will surprise you
A viral clip around chai is currently making waves online, but not because of the drink itself. Instead, it’s the unusual way it was sold that has caught people’s attention.
In a crowded content space where standing out is key, this idea managed to do just that by pairing something as simple as chai with a luxury twist. The video has already crossed millions of views, with users widely sharing and reacting to the concept.
At the center of the video is a man who decided to try a different approach. Instead of a roadside setup, he chose a Rolls-Royce to serve tea. He called this idea “Royal Chai.”
He introduces the concept in a direct way, saying, “Let's see how much money can be earned by selling tea in a Rolls-Royce,” making it clear that the aim was to test this idea.
To begin, he rented the luxury car for Rs 1 lakh. After arranging the vehicle, he connected with a tea seller and explained the plan. The tea seller agreed to join him.
They then prepared the setup to make it stand out. A board was put up, a red carpet was laid out, and tea was served with cookies and biscuits. The focus was on presentation and experience.
As the setup started, it naturally drew attention. People nearby became curious and stopped to see what was happening. Many of them, including families, decided to try the tea.
During the video, he also clarified the purpose by saying, “By the way, this is an experiment,” so that viewers understood the context.
At the end of the experiment, he shared the numbers openly.
The total cost was Rs 1,08,000, while the total earnings reached Rs 88,400. This meant the experiment ended in a loss.
Still, he chose to look at the positive side and said, “At least I made people happy!”
The comment section saw a mix of reactions, mostly appreciating the idea.
One user commented, “So happy to see you...that you are creating happiness in other people's lives, brother.”
Another wrote, “Dude!!! Do this in Bangalore. You can make a hell lot of money. People pay for the luxury experience!!!”
A third reaction read, “Bhai tum alag planet k ho. well done.”
