The 2025 Harvest Moon will occur on the night of October 6, and it will rise at 05:27 PM IST, according to Drikpanchang, and reach its full phase at 9:16 am IST on October 7. That means the best time to watch it rise will be shortly after sunset on October 6.

Observers in the Northern Hemisphere will have the best view, including India, Europe, and North America. For those in India, the moon will rise just after sunset on October 6, offering a perfect chance to witness this golden full moon shining across the night sky. According to the Hindu traditions, this is also known as Sharad Poornima, a sacred full moon night, where the Moon shines with all its rays far and wide, and its rays are believed to dip in nectar.
