German doctor travels to Pakistan to marry 22-year-old man she met while playing Roblox
In today’s world, many people meet online. Still, some love stories manage to surprise everyone. One such story is now going viral. A young woman from Germany travelled to a small village in Pakistan to marry a man she first met while playing an online game. What began as a casual chat slowly turned into a real relationship.
Selma, a 26-year-old doctor who holds German and Bosnian citizenship, met Muhammad Akmal, 22, on the gaming platform Roblox. At first, they only talked while playing. Over time, they started chatting more regularly.
Talking wasn’t easy in the beginning. Akmal didn’t speak much English and often replied with short messages. Even then, Selma felt a connection and decided to keep talking to him.
According to a report by the Hindustan Times, after a few months, Akmal proposed to Selma, as he said in an interview with My News TV. Some time later, she decided to travel to Pakistan to take their relationship forward. She reached Difaar village in Punjab’s Mandi Bahauddin district, where Akmal lives.
Their wedding took place with the consent and support of both families. According to the report, Akmal later shared that the wedding and travel together cost around PKR 4.5 million.
Life in a Pakistani village was very different for Selma. As mentioned in the report, simple things like washing clothes by hand, doing dishes, and making rotis were all new to her. She said it was hard at first, but with time, she got used to it.
She added that she was happy to learn and adapt because she wanted to live with her husband.
Selma has said she plans to stay in Pakistan with Akmal. To communicate better with his family and neighbours, she has started learning Punjabi and Urdu.
Akmal said they are happy together and enjoying married life. Their story, which began inside an online game, has touched many people with its simplicity and honesty.
