Descendants of Lord Ram

Seven individuals have asserted their lineage as descendants of Lord Ram during the Ayodhya hearing in response to the Supreme Court's inquiry. The hearing, spanning 11 days, featured people from diverse backgrounds submitting affidavits. Despite the focus on the Ayodhya dispute, new claims continue to emerge through affidavits in apex courts, with individuals asserting their connection to Lord Ram. Satendra Raghav (Congress Spokesperson in Rajasthan)

Raghav asserts that Raghav Rajputs are direct descendants of Lord Ram. He also claims belonging to Alwar 'thikana' (royalty) and having Badgurjar Gotra linked to the third generation of Luv. He has traced the establishment of the Sisodia dynasty by Luv in present-day Mewar.

Arvind Singh Mewar (Owner of HRH Hotels Group)

Mewar claims descent from Lord Ram, with experts and genealogists tracing the origins of the House of Mewar from Ishkvaku, Manu, and Lord Brahma. While not seeking any claim on Ram Janam Bhoomi, he firmly believes the temple must be built in Ayodhya.

An MP in Rajasthan claims to be the 309th descendant of Lord Rama, with documents supporting his lineage to Kush, Lord Ram's son. She belongs to the Kushwaha or Kachhawa clan, with documented proof presented in the Allahabad High Court.

Vishvaraj Singh (Mewar)

The nephew of Arvind Singh Mewar, Vishvaraj Singh claims his family owned Ayodhya. He has pointed out that Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh of Jaipur had previously claimed ancestry in public. Sawai Jai Singh II purchased land in Hindu religious areas and renovated Ram's birthplace following Hindu scriptures after Aurangzeb's demise.
