Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Mukesh Ambani is a chemical engineer. He had obtained the degree from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (erstwhile the University Department of Chemical Technology, University of Mumbai). He also has obtained MBA from Stanford University, USA.

Ratan Tata or Ratan Naval Tata, took over as Chairman of the Tata group in 1991. Ratan Tata completed his schooling at Campion and then at Cathedral and John Connon (both in Bombay). After this, he went to Cornell University, US to study architecture and structural engineering. In 1962 he received the bachelor's degree in architecture.

Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy is the founder of innovative software service provider Infosys. He studied Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Engineering in 1967. In 1969, he got a Master's degree from IIT Kanpur. In 1981, he co-founded Infosys.

Businessman Azim Premji, who is known as the Czar of the Indian IT industry, is a graduate in electrical engineering from Stanford University. He has been awarded honorary doctorates by Michigan State University, Wesleyan University, and the Indian Institutes of Technology at Bombay, Roorkee, and Kharagpur, among others. He is also the recipient of the Faraday Medal and the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy.

Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, and Tech Mahindra Limited, Anand Mahindra holds a degree from Harvard University. He also has obtained an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Chairman, Bajaj Auto, and Head, Bajaj Group, Rahul Bajaj is a law graduate from Mumbai University, from where he has also obtained BA honors in economics. He also has an MBA from Harvard. He has also been awarded honorary doctorates from six universities.

Founder of HCL Group and the Shiv Nadar Foundation, Shiv Nadar finished his schooling at Kumbakonam. He also studied at Elango Corporation Higher Secondary School, Madurai; St. Joseph Boys Higher Secondary School, Trichy. He has a degree in electrical and electronics engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.

Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Group, Kumar Mangalam Birla is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA degree from the London Business School. He was recently conferred CA Hall of Fame Award by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - ICAI. He finished his high school from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.
