When he reached the customer’s home, his doubts grew stronger. The woman who opened the door was crying and looked completely shaken. This was not a normal delivery. At that moment, the delivery partner understood that something was seriously wrong.

A moment of human connection

Instead of completing the delivery quickly, the rider chose to pause. He spoke to the woman gently and tried to understand her emotional state. Though she denied any intention of self-harm, her condition and the late-night order worried him.

He continued speaking to her calmly and urged her not to take any extreme step, reminding her that problems do pass and life is important.

Choosing conscience over completion

After the conversation, the delivery partner took a firm call. He cancelled the order and carried the rat poison back with him, deciding not to leave the items behind.

Later, he shared the experience on Instagram, explaining his thoughts and actions in his own words.

As quoted by News18, he said: “A total of three rat poisons. I don’t know what they were thinking when they ordered that. But seeing them crying so much, I thought they had some issue and ordered this. But once I reached the customer’s location, I couldn’t just deliver this order. She just kept crying. Then I went to her and told ‘No matter what problem you have, don’t commit suicide’ and asked ‘Did you order this because you want to commit suicide?’ She replied, ‘No, bro, that’s not the case.’ I said, ‘No, don’t lie. You just want to commit suicide. If you had a rat problem, you could have ordered it around seven o’clock, or even earlier. Maybe the next day. There is no reason for ordering it at this time.’ Later, I convinced her and cancelled the order. Today I feel that I’ve accomplished something.”
